‘You Need Free SHS And Compulsory Crèche’ – Ursula Owusu’s Facebook Followers School Her On ‘Breadth’
Some Facebook followers of Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful could not resist scrutinising her grammar after the minister came gun-blazing following a fact check on her claims on E-levy.
Comparing Ghana’s e-levy being introduced at a rate of 1.75% to that of the UK, Ursula claimed Ghana has the lowest tax rate since the UK introduced digital taxes at 10% rate.
However, a quick factcheck by Ghanaweb exposed the minister; noting that the UK imposed 2% taxes on search engines and not 10% as the minister claimed.
But in a rebuttal, Ursula Owusu said her factcheckers should hold their “breadth” because she said “up to 10” not same as saying exactly 10%.
Although it could have been a typo, her some of her Facebook followers could not fathom why the honourable minister will type ‘breadth’ instead of breath’
Holding your “BREADTH”..take a deep “BREADTH”. You do not only need free shs but compulsory crèche as well”, one of her followers wrote.
