The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has begun a search to find the next parliamentary candidate for Yapei-Kusawgu in the Savannah Region.
This is due to the shock demise of Abu Kamara, who was the party’s PC for the constituency in the pending elections but unfortunately died in a gory car accident last Friday while returning to Tamale after inspecting a project in the constituency.
The NPP said in a statement that the selection of the next PC for the area has been tasked with the party’s National Steering Committee.
“The National Executive Committee also, in accordance with Article 10(10)(1) of the Party Constitution, empowered the National Steering Committee to find a replacement for the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Yapei-Kusawgu, Mr. Abu Kamara, who sadly lost his life, together with two others on Friday, October 16, 2020, in a fatal car accident”, the statement said.
