Why So Much Promises Akufo-Addo? Stop Insulting Ghanaians – Kwaku Boahen Fumes

The Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen has questioned the unending promises of President Akufo-Addo with regards to infrastructural building.

His concern comes after the President on Tuesday, August 17 cut sod to kickstart government’s agenda 111 hospitals across the country.

Kwaku Boahen believes the President has made so much unfulfilled promises, with the recent promise of building 88 district hospitals in a year.

Over a year now and not a single block has been laid for those 88 hospitals yet he keeps going round making more promises.

“Last year the President went to Shama and said he will use a year to build 88 hospitals in districts with no hospitals, it’s over a year and no hospital has been built; Not even a block has been laid somewhere. This was not in the budget, we do not know where we are going to take the money from,” He said.

He continued that, “Let us go into the infrastructural fund and see how much is in it and you come and tell us that you are going to take 100 Million Dollars to build them when you said at Shama that you would use 32 Million Dollars to build the district hospitals. Now you are saying you will use 17 Million Dollars to build one district hospital. Why are there so many inconsistencies?” he quizzed.
