Why Didn’t Your Son Use A ‘Pragiya’ For His Expensive Wedding? – Wontumi Queries Mahama

Controversial Ashanti Regional Chairman of The New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has queried why the NDC Flagbearer, John Mahama did not allow his son, Shafik to use a commercial tricycle (‘Pragiya’) for his wedding.

Wontumi, who was reacting to a video of the former President, John Mahama riding in a ‘pragiya’ while on his official tour of the Upper West region, described the actions of the former President as an act of hypocrisy.

“Why didn’t you let your son (Shafik Mahama) wed in a pragia. You rented the most expensive hotel in Dubai for him to wed. You are making all this promise because you want Ghana’s bauxite for your brother”, he said

According to Chairman Wontumi, the NDC Flagbearer has no interest in legalizing Okada for commercial purposes, except to win power and mortgage the country’s bauxite resources to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
