Actress, Lydia Forson has wondered why Members of Parliament are concerned about being denied visa due to the anti-LGBTQ+ bill.
In a tweet she said these MPs seemed like they have no interest in travelling to countries that have legalised the activities of LGBT groups and wondered the basis of their worry.
“Why are our MP’s bothered about being denied visas? I thought they didn’t care about traveling to these countries? It’s the same way I’m confused about some of you on social media platforms owned by atheist.
“Or you understand tolerance when it’s beneficial to you?” her post added.
Her comment comes after Tamale Central MP, Alhassan Suhuyini was denied a visa by the Netherlands embassy which he suspects is due to his advocacy for the passage of the anti-gay bill.
