When Is Mahama Coming Back To Help Ayawaso Shooting Victims? – John Boadu Mocks
General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has questioned when former president John Dramani Mahama will be returning to power to compensate victims of the Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election shooting.
His reaction comes after Mr Mahama said the next NDC government will bring perpetrators of the Ayawaso West Wuogon violence to book.
He said the NDC will ensure all compensations due victims are paid once they resume office.
Mr. Mahama expressed shock at “the level of impunity” that he said, “continues to define the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government,” adding that “impunity when unchecked leads to unrestrained violence and that is why the killings of innocent Ghanaians at Ejura and Techiman happened.”
He promised that, “no matter how long it would take, the NDC would pursue every possible means to ensure that those who committed the crimes are punished and all compensations due the victims fully paid.”
”Ghana must not forget about what happened,” he added.
Speaking on Neat FM, John Boadu stated that Mahama has been living a hypocritical life because there are people who suffered electoral casualties during his administration yet he’s done nothing about it and is seeking to ride on the Ayawaso violence to win power again.
“When will they (NDC) come to power to help these people?…Sometimes he (Mahama) thinks we have short memories,” he said.
“Former President Mahama is being a hypocrite. He must put a stop to it. There are equally victims of violence from his government, what has he done to those people and their families?” he asked.
