The monarch of the great Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu II has been captured in a viral video saying the depth of his supremacy means no court in Ghana can overturn any decision he makes.

We have no idea the premise on which he made the statement but it’s obvious some of his subchiefs might have angered him over some prevailing dispute amongst them which was being prepared for court.

He’s heard saying, “I want peace to reign but if anyone of you thinks going to court is the solution, there is no court that can overturn what I pronounce on this matter, not when Sikadwa the Golden Stool exists, not when I am the Asantehene.”

In a speech read on his behalf by Asafohene, Asafo Boakye Agyemang Bonsu at the Kumasi edition of the fundraising exercise organized by the Board of Trustees, National Cathedral, Otumfour’s note read;

“We are a religious nation, therefore the monumental structure is expected to add up to the gains made.. to promote solidarity, unity and harmony amongst the people.”
