“What Did You Do To Alleviate Suffering? Bawumia Jabs Mahama Again

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has for the second time in less than a week jabbed former President John Mahama, this time, asking him what he did to alleviate suffering during his time as president.

Speaking from state broadcaster GBC to mark the 2020 Eid al-Adha celebration, Bawumia insisted Ghanaians will judge Mahama on his legacies as president and not based on his promises.

It is not what you say you are going to do but what you actually have done when you had the opportunity to serve”, Dr Bawumia said.

He quizzed, “What did you do to alleviate the suffering and the promotion of inclusion when you were in office?”

According to the Vice President, the Akufo Addo government has implemented free shs policy which he described as the “most important social intervention since independence.”

This comes a day after the NDC 2020 Campaign team implored Ghanaians to ignore Bawumia’s ‘comical’ efforts to “divert” attention from pressing issues after listing 50 reasons why Akufo is a better choice than John Mahama.

“This deliberate and comical attempt by Dr Bawumia to divert attention is as a result of the immense pressure he has come under after paling into insignificance following the selection of Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as running mate to Mr John Mahama in the December 2020 elections,” the NDC said in statement.
