The Christian Council of Ghana has refuted claims by various political leaders and social commentators that they’ve been silent amidst the voters registration violence.
Chairperson for the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Boafo speaking on the Happy Morning Show insisted the Council has been working tirelessly behind the scenes because not every action of theirs is always in the public domain.
“It is never too late to talk about issues. Some of the things we do are not always in the public domain. Some are done behind the scenes. That does not mean we are not doing anything about these issues,” he said.
He noted that the council, although engaging with all stakeholders have been taking note of all these incidences to use as a point of reference.
“Sometimes when these things happen, we also want to make reference to them. From the very onset, we have been preaching the peace message to the politicians and the followers,” he stated.
Controversial social commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A-Plus claimed the Council makes worshiping God difficult for him because of their attitude.
