A staunch NDC activist has issued a warning to the minority chief whip in parliament, who also doubles as MP for Asawasi, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka to be careful of the way he is trying to drag the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi.
Annan Perry Arhin, a staunch NDC activist, believes that the Asawasi MP is trying to hide behind his colleague MPs in the NPP to drag Sammy Gyamfi to the priviledges committee over comments he made against the speaker of parliament some days ago.
It will be recalled that in the aftermath of the passing of President Akufo-Addo’s ministerial nominees, Sammy Gyamfi accused the speaker of parliament and the leadership of the minority caucus in parliament of pursuing their parochial agenda against the interest of the NDC.
Following his comments, the NDC MP for Asawasi is reported to have warned the NDC communications officer not to bring his arrogance to his direction.
Subsequently, comments from the majority leader in parliament, Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and some other NPP legislators suggests that Sammy Gyamfi may be dragged before the priviledges committee of parliament.
However, Annan Perry Arhin and some like-minded NDC fanatics have warned Mr Muntaka to desist from trying to hound Sammy Gyamfi.
According to him, any such attempt by the Asawase MP will be fiercely resisted.
