The True Drivers Union has disclosed that although fuel prices have been reduced, they have no intentions to reduce transport fares.
The True Drivers Union’s Public Relations (PR) Officer, Yaw Barimah, emphasized that the drivers have no reason to reduce the prices of transport fares despite the reduction in the fuel prices.
On Rainbow Radio 87.5FM on Nyankonton Mu Nsem programme The PR Officer, Yaw Barimah in an interview disclosed that they are aware of the reduction in fuel prices but have no intentions of reducing fares despite the reduction.
On the interview he said, “We are aware that the price of fuel has reduced. We would desire to reduce transportation fares, but we are not ready and have no intension to do so. We will not even lower fares by one pesewa. There has been no change. As a result, we are unwilling to lower transportation fares.”
“If a thief steals from you and you chase him down and he gives you back some of what he stole from you, do you celebrate and clap for him?” he asked Ghanaians.
