Head of Legal affairs at the NDC headquarters, Abraham Amaliba has offered an explanation as to why the Party went to court in the Techiman South case with a standby generator and a photocopier machine.
The NDC made the news for dramatic reasons when it emerged that the Party stormed the premises of the High Court with a standby generator and a photocopier machine already set up in their pickup vehicle.
Speaking to Joy News, Lawyer Amaliba explained that the Party got wind that the Electoral Commission was planning to sabotage their inspection of the original Techiman South Collation sheet.
According to him, they suspected that the EC may connive with the ECG to disrupt electricity supply so that the NDC may not be able to make copies of the document for proper perusal.
The NDC candidate for the Techiman South parliamentary elections, Christopher Beyere is challenging the declaration of the NPP’s Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah as MP.
