Minister for health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has stated that government has not abandoned any projects left by erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration.
While addressing the press on Wednesday he said the Covid-19 pandemic had disrupted many projects government had to embark on.
“I’m proud to stand before you to say that since I joined the ministry no project has been abandoned”.
He noted that “Last year, we did a lot of sod-cutting on some projects. We’re being asked questions as to why these projects have not started or been completed”.
He explained that the European contractors for the projects were supposed to have begun soon after the sod-cutting ceremonies but the impacts of COVID-19 such as the second wave in Europe, flight restrictions and quarantine and other setbacks hindered the arrival of European contractors assigned to take up some of the projects.
