‘We Didn’t Sanction Membership Advert’ – Communist Inferior Tactics At Play As NDC Disowns Kwabena Duffuor

The leadership of the opposition NDC has distanced itself from a membership drive video sponsored by former Minister for Finance, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.

The Video called on the general public to pick up membership forms and join the NDC.

From a neutral perspective, the video is a purely innocent video aimed at advertizing the NDC, however, one cannot downplay the political value of the video at a time when Dr. Duffuor has been mentioned as seeking to overthrow John Mahama as flagbearer of the NDC.

The one-minute-twenty-one-second video features Dr Duffuor and six other persons from all walks of life telling Ghanaians about what the NDC means to them.

It is, however, not clear whether the owner of the collapsed uniBank was using the video as a launchpad for his flag bearer ambitions ahead of the 2024 general elections.

National Organizer of the NDC, Joshua Akamba, speaking on Happy FM was emphatic that the leadership of the Party dissociates themselves from the video.

One wonders whether Mr. Akamba and the leadership of the NDC would have publicly dissociated themselves from the video, should it have been sanctioned by John Mahama.
