We Are Ready To Support Sammi Awuku If He Decides To Contest As MP – Mampong Akwapim Traditional Council

The Chiefs of Mampong Akwapim, speaking on behalf of their people, have expressed their willingness to support National Organizer of the NPP, Mr. Sammi Awuku, should he decide to contest as Member of Parliament.

According to them, even though Mr. Awuku, who is currently the Director-General of the NLA has not told them anything, they are more than willing to support him if the need arises.

In an interview with the Media, the Apesemakahene of Mampong Akwapim, Nana Yirenkyi l, said “for now we are not aware of anything but if he wants it we will help him.”

According to him, Sammi Awuku has done a lot for Akwapim, and all the chiefs and the people have accepted him.
“Any day our son will tell us he wants to be an MP, expect all the chiefs to campaign for him.”

He continued that since Sammi Awuku came into politics, there are a lot of people in Akwapim who have benefitted from him and every town in Akwapim North can testify to that. Nana Yirenkyi said “we are waiting one day if he decides and we will support him.”
