All Members of the Minority caucus must carry the blame for the approval of some ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo despite agreement to reject them, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Tamale Central lawmaker has said.
Speaking on Accra FM’s Ghana Yensom he noted that some MPs on the Minority side had stabbed the caucus in the back following initial agreement to rejec some nominees.
He called on the caucus to shoulder the blame instead of being hypocrites.
“We had a caucus meeting – and I think that, sometimes, the hypocrisy ought to stop. Those who are attempting to appear saintly should give us a break. “We had a caucus meeting and in the caucus meeting, we took a decision.”
“We had a caucus meeting and in the caucus meeting, we took a decision. We went in there and some people did the most embarrassing thing and now they don’t want to take the blame”, he noted.
In his view, “All of us, including myself, we must be blamed,” adding: “My only view is that, we should not just assume that everybody voted for those people”.
