Volta NDC Youth Calls Out Government Over Keta Port Project

The Volta Regional Youth Chapter of the National Democratic Congress, NDC has called the Government dishonest for the appointment of a Director for a “non existent” Keta Sea Port and Harbor.

During a press conference held at the site of the Keta Sea Port and Harbor, the Volta NDC Youth Commander, Mathew Alagbo cautioned the residents of the Volta Region to disregard the government’s lies about the construction of the Keta Sea Port and Harbor.

The Volta NDC Youth wing has listed some benefits allegedly being enjoyed by the Director of the “non existent” Keta Sea Port and Harbor at the expense of tax payers.

“ A whooping sum of money between GHS 120,000 to GHS 150,,000 of the tax Payers’ money is spent monthly in hiring a Director of Ports in Ghana. Going by this analysis, it can therefore be said that, the current Port Director of Keta or the Non Existent Port Director now enjoys these emoluments; 2 Cars, a Driver, a Cook,  a Gardener, Fuel, Official Accommodation, Car Maintenance allowance, Free Medical care for himself, wife and children under the age of 21, entertainment and professional allowances and many other entitlements “.
