Former second deputy speaker of parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin is the new substantive speaker of the house after a chaotic secret ballot election today.
National Communications Director of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi believes Mr. Bagbin’s election is “victory at last” for the party.
He states that it is God’s grace and the NDC’s hard work that made it possible for Mr. Bagbin to usurp Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye as Speaker for Ghana’s 8th parliament of the 4th republic.
“Our God is alive. Our hard work was not in vain. Victory at last!!!,” Sammy Gyamfi wrote on social media.
