Until You Change, The ‘Akyem Sakawa’ Tag Remains On You – Adongo
Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has insisted his ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’ statement will not be retracted until those it was directed at adjust their behaviours and ways.
Speaking on Pure FM, he noted that he had said nothing wrong against the Akyems who went on the demonstration therefore he has no cause to apologise.
According to him if the people in government he directed his message at change from their ways, he’ll address them honourably, however, if they continue to thread the ‘sakawa’ path then he will have no choice than to call them the ‘Akyem Sakawa’ boys.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has been under intense pressure to apologise after sharing Isaac Adongo’s post which many people interpreted as an endorsement to the ‘Akyem Sakawa’ tag.
A group with the name, Concerned Citizens of Okyeman days ago demonstrated against the former president, asking him to apologise or never step foot on any Akyem land to campaign ahead of the December polls.
