The President of The Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned comments made by Bolga Central MP, IsaacAdongo in a write-up in which he referred to elements in the ruling NPP as ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’, and which was gleefully endorsed and shared by the NDC running mate, John Mahama.
In an interview with Accra-based Oman FM, which was broadcast live from the Jubilee House, the President expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which such uncalled-for statements was gleefully shared by his main opponent.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the posture of his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama is divisive and unbefitting of a man seeking a comeback to occupy the highest office of the land.
President Akufo-Addo called on Civil Society Organizations to call the NDC flagbearer to order because his comments were very unnecessary.
President Akufo-Addo added that, unlike his main opponent, he has absolute respect for all tribes including his opponent’s tribe; the gonjas and can never disrespect them.
