Unacceptable For Graduates To Spend 5-Years Looking for Jobs After School – Naana Agyemang

Vice-Presidential Candidate for the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prof. Jane Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has expressed worry over the persisting graduate unemployment in the country.

Speaking to Executives of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) at her office, Naana Agyemang bemoaned how it could take over five years for a graduate student to find a sustainable job to do in the country.

She assured GRASAG of dealing with the menace should flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama win power on December 7.

“It is also unacceptable that after completing their studies, graduate students spend between five and seven years looking for employment. That is an issue that must change and we, #JMandJane2020, are going to work hard to change that by providing sustainable jobs,” she said.

GRASAG executives had paid a courtesy call on the vice presidential candidate to discuss issues of concern including graduate unemployment in the country.
