Two Arrested for Selling Man For $160,000 At Agona Swedru

Two men in Agona Swedru have been arrested by the police after conspiring to sell a twenty one-year-old Beninese man.

The men, a Ghanaian named Issah Baba, 27, and a Malian, identified as Ibrahim Keita had everything put in place to sell the victim as they were apporached by one Edem Ametorwogah who expressed interest and began negotiating.

According to MyNewsGh.com, the parties agreed on $160,000, however, the buyer was a policeman in disguise who works with the Divisional Criminal Investigations Department in Agona Swedru.

On June 26, 2020, the sellers led the buyer to the Bawjiase Lorry Station where they received payment in full and handed the victim to the police CID officer.

However, a police team on stand by pounced on them before they could get away with their $160,000 fortune.
