Two men who should have been seated calmly for their Voter Card Registration exercise decided to display their Chinese acrobatic skills by fighting with machetes at the EP Church Registration Center, Accra New Town.
The two were part of some seven men who were arrested earlier on for blocking a police patrol team on to free a suspect who had been arrested by the police.
However, they were discharged only for them to display impunity by fighting with machetes at the EP Church Registration Center.
The two have however been are-arrested again together with the others who helped to free the first suspect.
DSP Afia Tenge confirmed the incident that, “On 7th of July, two persons were arrested at the EP registration center in Accra Newton for engaging in a fight and wielding machetes.
“An action security detail on the ground suspect was likely to cause the breach of peace. On their way to the Police station for proper custody, some young men suspecting to be sympathizers of these suspects crossed the Police vehicle and impunity and forcibly the two persons. They have all been arrested and arraigned. ”
All suspects are being prepared for court on Monday.
