Prolific rapper, Manifest, son of the astute legal luminary, Tsatsu Tsikata has savagely responded to an enthusiastic NDC fanatic who begged him on social media to release a song as an endorsement for the NDC.
The issue of celebrity endorsement of political parties is not a new phenomenon in Ghana. It has become particularly topical since rapper Sarkodie released a song a few days ago which appears to be an endorsement of President Akufo-Addo.
Even though the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has publicly stated that he does not wish to engage celebrities in his campaign because he would not want to be the cause of a decline in their career, it is still a fact that there are some celebritities overtly or covertly endorsing the two major parties.
In this spirit, an enthusiastic NDC fanatic by the name Gabasa Abubakari personally requested Manifest to do his father’s party the honor of composing a song as an endorsement. Manifest’s response was savage in every sense of the word.
