Weddings have become a competition to the point where people would go to great lengths to buy extravagant items to delight their guests, only to be saddled with massive debts to begin their married life with.

However, an unidentified couple elected to cut their coat according to the fabric they were wearing. The reception offered gari, groundnuts, and soft beverages to the guests that attended the wedding.

A video circulating on social media shows a group of people sitting around a table, eating bowls of garri and groundnut while listening to music.

Twitter user who posted the video on the Micro-Blogging site captioned it: “Couple serve garri and groundnut to guests.”
