Togolese Grabbed For Attempting To Register For A Ghana Card

One Togolese by name Bouguiligue Kouassi Kampe had been arrested at Bimpelle Primary School Registration Center at Woriyanga in the Tempane District for trying to acquire a voters ID Card.

The operation was undertaken by officers of the Ghana Immigration Service and the police in The Upper East Region at the Pulimakom Border Post.

The suspect had changed his name to Yaro Kosi for the registration exercise, joined the queue readying himself to be photographed when he was arrested.

Mr. Kampe admitted to have entered the country through illegal route.

Interestingly, he had two people guaranteeing for him as a Ghanaian to partake in the registration.

The suspect has been handed over to the police pending investigations whilst the two guarantors areĀ  yet to be arrested.
