President of Policy Think Tank, Imani Africa has slammed the government for its poor handling of the COVID-19 pandemic by ordering parents to send their wards back to school when it was still too early to do so.
According to him, he is wondering how school heads and authority can properly protect the children now that panic has already began in Accra schools.
In a post on Facebook, he singled out Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh and President Akufo-Addo for being scared of the disease and self-isolating while putting school children’s lives in danger.
In a post on Facebook, he wrote, “CHASS says they will protect students against covid-19. I wonder how they plan to do that with panic over cases in Accra schools already. Ghana just recorded almost a 1000 cases yesterday. What is even shocking is that the President and Minister of Education who ordered parents to go and dump their kids in boarding houses are either scared of the disease and self-isolating or being managed for covid-19 respectively. What is going on?”
