“The Worst In NPP Is Considerably Better Than The Best In NDC” – NAPO

According to Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) continues to be the greatest option for Ghanaians as compared to the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC]. This is true despite the economic challenges facing Ghanaians.

He mentioned the depreciation of the Ghana cedi versus the US dollar as one of the issues the administration was dealing with, but he quickly added that any other political party running the Ghanaian economy at the time would have made matters worse.

Speaking to Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) members in the Ashanti Region at a conference in Kumasi, NAPO, as he is affectionately known, claimed that if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had been in power, the cedi would have hit Ghs48 to the dollar instead of reaching an all-time low in history.

“The worst of NPP is significantly superior to the finest of NDC. Some of you are driven to help NPP; you know you want to help it the best you can. Only NPP has the power to improve Ghana. No matter what situation you are in, try to picture how much worse it would have been if it had been NDC. The dollar that could have gone to 16 would have gone to 17 if NDC had been in power.

He cautioned the young patriots to remain loyal to the party and the government despite the current difficulties and to avoid quarreling, hostility, and acrimony because these inclinations could potentially hinder the party’s capacity to break the 8.

“There should be no disagreement among TESCON members regarding 2024. Being the landlord of the opposition party is preferable to being the garden boy of the ruling party, he continued.
