The NDC Are Just Up To Their Usual Propaganda – Defence Minister On Ketu South Brouhaha

The Defence Minister, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul is urging Ghanaians not to give attention to the opposition NDC on their allegations of intimidation on the people of the Volta region.

In a press conference on Monday at the Ministry of Information, Hon. Nitiwul stated that deployment of security personnel to the various border regions has been an ongoing exercise by government and that of the Volta Region is no different.

The minister revealed that these deployments started on 30th March, 2020 but it was slowed down after the lockdown was lifted.

He added that it has become necessary to redeploy more men and officers to some entry points into Ghana due to increased crime and lawlessness in these border towns.

Hon. Nitiwul further stated that the military is to also complement efforts of the immigration in enforcing the border closure rule as a result of coronavirus pandemic.
