The Government’s Excessive Borrowing Will Be Addressed In The 2022 Budget – Abdul Samed

The government’s greatest choice for dealing with the various foreign borrowings from Western countries has been regarded as the 2022 budget statement.

It has also been described as the best strategy to address the country’s present unemployment problem.

In an interview with Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma on the Ebesi Sen Show last Thursday on the budget, Hon. Abdul El Samed, Government Spokesperson, revealed this.

According to him, after taking office in 2017, the Akufo-Addo administration has implemented a number of social intervention projects that have greatly aided the country’s development.

“As we came to meet, the NPP has put in place numerous policies that have helped restructure the economy, and my brother, we need money to ensure that all of these programs succeed.” The E-levy, on the other hand, will go a long way toward boosting the economy without relying entirely on foreign help, as Hon. Samed emphasized.

He also stated that the charge will be used to fund the majority of road projects, ensuring that the country’s road infrastructure is well-maintained to ease the movement of people and products.

Hon. Abdul Samed has slammed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for criticizing the budget, claiming that it is merely propaganda intended to draw attention away from the well-thought-out budget that appears to provide possibilities for all Ghanaians.

When asked about the use of Ghana’s oil money, the Spokesperson quickly responded that the proceeds are being used to fund the government’s Free SHS policy.
