The Country’s State Should Be Blamed On Chiefs, Not Akufo-Addo – Dormaahene To Ghanaians

The Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu, has stated that chiefs across the country, not the country’s political leaders, are to responsible for the country’s current predicament.

Instead of exploiting the land resources at their disposal for the benefit of their inhabitants, he claims, chiefs use them solely for their own advantage.

“We should not blame the country’s status solely on Nana Akufo-Addo and his ministers since we are all part of it.” We sell land in our communities and keep the proceeds instead of investing in required development,” says the author.

“Has the person committed a crime if you have resources at your disposal but they’re not being used for the betterment of the people and someone criticizes you for not contributing to the growth of your community?” he said.

He also stated that Ghanaian chiefs have a leadership role to play, which is critical to making Ghana a better place, but that the majority of them were not fulfilling this responsibility.

According to Osagyefo Badu, traditional leaders chiefs are contributing to Ghana’s lack of progress by neglecting to play their position as traditional leaders.

He stated that the country’s current issues should serve as a wake-up call for Ghanaian Chiefs to resume their traditional leadership positions.
