The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Wontumi has asked Franklin Cudjoe to desist from polluting the minds of people with his poor knowledge on the subject of economics.
Chairman Wontumi explained that people like Mr. Cudjoe isn’t fit to talk about economics when time over time, he has shown he has little knowledge on the subject.
In an interview, Chairman Wontumi stated that if the President of policy think tank IMANI Ghana, was abreast with issues, he would have even known that the tension between Russia and Ukraine, is having major negativity on world economy.
He therefore continued that Mr. Cudjoe’s request for Vice President Bawumia to speak on the challenges confronting Ghana’s economy, was out of place and not misplaced.
Franklin Cudjoe has called on Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to comment on the challenges the Ghanaian economy is experiencing since his political future depends on it.
“It is important our Veep, Dr. Bawumia tell us what went wrong with our apparent buoyant economy and what can be done to save it. His political future depends on it,” he wrote on Facebook Friday.
But according to Chairman Wontumi, Mr. Cudjoe “should study economics well. This is because economies around the world are making major losses because of covid and even tension between Russian and Ukraine. Developing and developed countries are being affected by this happening. You can’t put this blame on government in Ghana.”
