Techiman South: NDC Runs To Appeals Court In Attempt To Amend Their Petition

The NDC has filed an appeal at the Appeals Court seeking an order of the Court to allow them amend their petition challenging the outcome of the Techiman South Parliamentary Election.

The NDC was denied an opportunity to amend their petition by the High Court after the EC, in compliance with an order of the High Court, produced the original Collation Sheet for the constituency.

The NDC had claimed that there was no Collation in the Techiman South constituency, hence there was no document to back it.

However, after the EC produced the original signed Collation Sheet, lawyers for the NDC candidate pleaded with the court to allow them amend their petition but were denied.

The lawyers for the NDC candidate are now praying the Court of Appeal to be allowed to amend their petition to reflect that there was no “proper Collation” in Techiman South instead of earlier claiming there was no Collation at all.
