As custom demands, a one week commemoration of the death of Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford has been observed by his family.
The event came off today, Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the School Kesim AstroTurf grounds at Mankessim.
Among the huge crowd who throng to the venue to mourn with the family were party big wigs from both sides of the political divide.
A high-powered government delegation led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was also present to commiserate with the family.
Mr. Hayford was shot by some persons suspected to be robbers on October 9, on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road on his return from a campaign trip.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Police has picked up two suspects in connection with the MP’s murder.
They are said to be in the custody of the Central Regional Divisional Police Command pending further investigations.
