Tanzania’s President, John Magufuli Is Dead

Tanzanian President John Magufuli has died–the country’s Vice-President has just announced on national TV.

Before the announcement of his death today, he was missing from the public for 18 days.

The 61-year-old was rumoured to have fallen seriously ill. It is currently unclear the cause of his death, even though there were speculations that he was suffering from COVID-19.
