One of the two Nigerians arrested in connection with the kidnapping of the Takoradi girls, John Orji appealed to the Sekondi High Court yesterday that he was not being fed well in the prison where he’s being kept awaiting trial.

According to him, he’s asthmatic and therefore needs to eat to eat well however, authorities only give him scanty food.

He told the judge, “my handlers are not taking care of my health. I’m asthmatic and the medicine I’m being given requires adequate food, but I’m not getting that.”

The judge therefore urged the prison authorities to ensure he’s been fed well and also requested for legal representation for him in order to expedite the trial which he deems is of public interest.
