Stop Using State Money To Carry Your Chair Around – Adongo Tells Akufo-Addo

Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has asked President Akufo-Addo to stop carrying his chair around wherever he goes at the expense of the tax payer.

The honorable MP, in an interview with MyNewsGh.Com after his party’s town hall meeting in Kumasi yesterday, explained that aside the government’s ‘bloated’ Ministers and ‘excessive borrowing, the move by the President to carry his chair around in one dedicated field van is also draining the nation’s coffers.

President Akufo-Addo has been trending on social media in recent times after it was observed that his special chair has been accompanying him on almost every trip he undertakes.

However, Honorable Adongo is of the opinion that the transporting of the chair in a dedicated van is costing the state needless amounts of money.

According to the NDC campaign spokesperson on Finance, the President while campaigning for the highest office, sat on benches to eat Kenkey with the ordinary people in order to win their votes, but is now carrying a special chair around on his trips.

It is unclear if there is a special reason behind the President’s decision to move around with his own chair, since there has been no official explanation from the Jubilee house.
