Deputy MASLOC boss, Afia Akoto has expressed disappointment in Accra FM for publishing her image with an accompanying claim that she impersonated Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo in Parliament last tuesday.
Parliament, on tuesday, 30th November 2021, ‘unanimously’ overruled last Friday’s dramatic rejection of the 2022 budget after a one-sided house had their way just like last week’s turn of events.
However, following the events of tuesday, the NDC is now claiming that the honorable MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo was absent in Parliament and was discreetly replaced with an ‘impostor’ in mask to sit in for her.
The allegation was first made by Bobie Ansah on Accra FM and has since generated widespread conversation on social media.
Though the Dome Kwabenya MP herself, yesterday, appeared in Parliament without a mask and refuted the allegations that she was absent on tuesday, the NDC still insists they are investigation the likely impersonation and will soon publish their findings.
Subsequently, Bobie Ansah, on his show on Accra FM published a collage of Afia Akoto next to a photo of the Dome Kwabenya MP, creating an impression that the deputy MASLOC boss was the ‘impostor’ who replaced Adwoa Safo in Parliament.
However, an unhappy Afia Akoto has taken to social media to express her utmost disappointment in Accra FM for publishing her image for mischievous purposes.
In a Facebook post, she wrote, “I still can’t believe a radio station will put this on their website without verification, just to get people to believe these lies of impersonation really took place . Look, let us not create problems where there is non . Accra fm this is a no no no . Stop creating unnecessary content just for hype by putting an innocent person’s life at risk . This is a criminal offence you’ve leveled against me . The stakes are high currently , So be careful . @accra100.5fm“
