Some NDC Voters Willing To Vote For NPP If Bawumia Becomes Flagbearer – Murtala Mohammed Claims

A former activist of the opposition NDC in the Asawasi Constituency, Murtala Mohammed, popularly known as Prince Akuter has claimed that several NDC voters are willing to vote for the NPP, should they make Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia their flagbearer for the 2024 elections.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia’s proven track record as an economist and a Vice President is enough to convince voters to give him the mandate.

In a Youtube Interview on Ambassador TV, Prince Akuter opined that despite President Akufo-Addo’s tremendous achievements, the NPP needs the popularity of a man like Dr. Bawumia to break the 8.

He claimed that he knows top NDC executives who are willing to lend their votes to the Vice President, should his party give him the opportunity to lead them into the next elections.

Dr. Bawumia has emerged as one of the main front-runners for the NPP’s flagbearership position after President Akufo-Addo.

He faces stiff competition from Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremateng and a host of other Party stalwarts who have expressed interest in leading the Elephant fraternity.
