The Electoral Commission (EC) announced yesterday, September 14, that filing fees for presidential aspirant in the 2020 elections will be ₵100,000.
The announcement has generated concerns from many especially some ‘small parties’.
The PPP and the APC have all stated that the fees are too high.
Other stakeholders have also bemoaned the lack of consultation by the election governing body before arriving at such a fee.
