Hon Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, says Ghanaians should swallow their bitter pill concerning late Sir John’s will because it will be mind-blowing when Ghanaians get to see his’.
The publishing of late Sir John’s Will sent Ghanaians into a frenzy about the properties he gave out to his descendants that included part of the Achimota forest reserve which the government rubbished it wasn’t for sale.
Ghanaians chastised the late New Patriotic Party (NPP), General Secretary, accusing him of accumulating money using his public job.
Hon Kennedy Agyapong, speaking at an NPP delegates meeting in the United States of America, said the controversy surrounding the will is pointless.
He claims that politicians in the NDC are behind the criticism of Sir John’s will, and advised the NPP members to refrain from making remarks or reacting to complaints.
According to him, the assets included in the late general secretary’s will are a drop in the bucket compared to what will be included in his asset declaration.
“Whatever NDC is setting as an agenda, it will come to haunt us. Sometimes there is no truth in it and so we have to be careful with Sir John’s issue of six plots. Me, when I declare my assets you would be shocked because when I was reading Sir John’s will I said but this is peanut,” he said.
He expressed worry over what the reactions of Ghanaians will be if he eventually puts in the public domain a declaration of his assets.
“I put myself in the person’s shoes that if am dead today, is this what is going to happen even within my own party? So we have to be careful,” he added.
