Shake Up Hits Police Service As Five Regions Get New Commanders

The Ghana Police Service on Friday July 17, announced on its social media handle, Facebook changes in its top hierarchy.

This sees COP Nathan Kofi Boakye reassigned from Head of Research and Planning to Legal and Prosecution Department.

DCOP Mrs. Habiba Akyere Twumasi -Sarpong has been assigned Central Regional Commander while DCOP Mr. Paul Ayittey is the new North East Police Regional Commander.

DCOP Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II is now the Tema regional police commander while DCOP Mr. Charles Domanban is now Oti Police Regional Commander.

COP Mr. Paul Manly Awini, Central Regional Commander has been assigned Director-General for Research, Planning and Transformation.

Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Mr. Frederick Adu-Anim is now the Director-General for Information, Communication Technology (ICT).

DCOP, Afful Boakye Yiadom, Eastern Regional Police Commander is now the Accra Regional Police Commander.

Tema Regional Commander, DCOP Mr. Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi is now heading to the Eastern Region as its Regional Commander.
