The Controversial MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has claimed that the father of the National Communications Director of the opposition NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has expressed his desire to have him (Ken Agyapong) mentor his son.
Recounting how the conversation he claimed he had with Sammy Gyamfi’s father went on Net2 TV, Mr Agyapong said he is willing to mentor and nurture the 30-year-old lawyer if he avails himself.
According to him, although he is on the other side of the political divide, his affable relationship with NDC’s parliamentarians like the Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Mr Sam George and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda is enough grounds for him to be of service to him.
Kennedy Agyapong added that Sammy Gyamfi’s father was concerned about his son’s choice of words when he is addressing the public and his knowledge on security issues which he believes he is in the position to help.
He also stated that Sammy Gyamfi’s father asked for forgiveness on behalf of his son for any unsavoury comment or derogatory remark he may have made in the past to dent his image.
Sammy Gyamfi is regarded as one of the vociferous voices in the circles of the NDC especially with how he takes the NPP on issues of national concern with a communication acumen which is admired by all and sundry.
