Sammy Awuku ‘Forces’ NDC Parliamentary Candidate To ‘Run Away’ From Akuapem North
Sammi Awuku, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapem North, has reportedly led his National Democratic Congress (NDC) opponent to retreat from the constituency.
Nana Yirenkyi I, Apesemakehe of Mampong Akuapem, informed the media that the NDC candidate has been notably absent from significant constituency activities, including community events such as funerals and the Awukudea festival.
According to Nana Yirenkyi I, the only evidence of the NDC candidate’s presence has been posters on light poles. He criticized the NDC for selecting a candidate who has failed to engage with the community, suggesting that the party, as a prominent opposition force, should have chosen a more visible and active representative. He pointed out that previous NDC candidates were much more involved in local affairs.
