Sammy Adjei Arrested After Using Someone’s GH¢15,000 To Bet On World Cup Games He Lost [Video]

The sheer stupidity of Sammy Adjei, a mobile money vendor has landed him in police custody after using someone’s GHC15,000 to bet on World Cup games that he lost.

A report filed by Kessben FM’s reporter Multi Pee on Kessben TV’s Breaking News with Nyakoh Aboronomah uncovered that One Madam Christy who lives with Sammy Adjei in the same house at Asante Akyem had to let her husband send GHC15,000 to Sammy Adjei’s merchant sim.

The husband who was in Accra when he sent the money later told Sammy Adjei to keep the money on his sim as he will come home in the next two days.

When the Husband arrived and went to Sammy for the money, Sammy narrated that fraudsters have withdrawn the money from his merchant sim.

The issue had to be taken to the nearest MTN office where it was discovered that Sammy withdrew the money into a betting account which he did bet on the just-ended Qatar World Cup games and lost woefully.

The issue was brought back home to solve amicably but Sammy allegedly connive to run away but was caught and finally sent to police custody.

The case has now been forwarded to court as Sammy the punter remains in remand.
