Samira Bawumia Challenges Women to Make Use of Their Skills

Second lady, Samira Bawumia has challenged women to make use of skills they have and earn a living from it.

Speaking at the Ghana Armed Forces Command Skills Training Graduation Ceremony, she said no woman can progress in life if they idle with skills acquired from training.

The armed forces command had put together a skill training for wives of army personnel and other civilians where they learnt bead-making, pastries, bridal decorations, make-up among others.

Samira urged the women to work with the skills acquired and not sleep at home with them if they want to see progress in their lives.

Vice Admiral Seth Amoama of the Ghana Armed Forces said his office did not want to be selfish with the training and therefore extended invitation to the police and other security forces.

He said the training has been a huge success and in line with government’s agenda of creating jobs: noting that spouses of security personnel across the country will be able to earn income from the skills learnt and support their families.
