Sam Korankye Ankrah ‘Flogged’ For Protecting Bobie Ansah And Mensah Thompson

Rather than heap praises on Bobie Ansah and Mensah Thompson for telling lies on President Akufo-Addo and his families, Oheneba Kwabena Asiedu believes that the Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah should have rebuked them rather make them look like saints in his church.

Addressing the issue of alleged media oppression by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in recent times, the host of Wontumi Morning Show stated that he was forced to turn off his television when he saw the Apostle General of the Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah attacking government rather than rebuking Mensah Thompson and Bobie Ansah for harming the integrity of President Akufo-Addo, his wife and children.

The sentiments of Oheneba were also shared by the Ahafo Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr. Owusu Sekyere who stated on the same show that “ I expected him as a Pastor to ask the people (Bobie and Mensah Thompson) what they did before they got invited by the police.”

He maintained that as a man of God, Sam Korankye Ankrah isn’t supposed to entertain someone who does evil and pour the oil of God on him without teaching the person the ways of God.

The Executive Director of Alliance of Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), Mensah Thompson and Accra FM presenter, Bobie Ansah, joined the Royal House Chapel International Church to thank God for their release.

Apostle Sam Korankye Ankrah, prayed for the two and assured them that they have nothing to fear, since notable persons have added their voices to the issue.

Mr Thompson was arrested for allegedly publishing false news; he was also charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace.

This was after he had published on Facebook last year a claim alleging that President Akufo-Addo’s relatives used the Presidential jet on a shopping spree in the United Kingdom.

Radio presenter Kwabena Bobie Ansah, on the other hand, was arrested on February 10.

He was also accused of publishing false news on January 1, this year, accusing the presidential spouses of granting themselves “state lands at AU Village, around the Kotoka International Airport for the construction of Rebecca Foundation”.
