Rwanda Closes Over 6000 Churches As New Law Requires Pastors To Have At Least Bachelors Degree Before They Can Preach

The government of Rwanda led by President Paul Kagame have ordered the closure of more than 6000 churches, reports say.

According to a new law passed in the country, A Pastor is required to possess at least a minimum qualification of a bachelors degree before they can be allowed to preach.

The new law, first proposed in 2018, has now been passed and is operational in the country.

Per the new law, all prayers and church activities outside the registered church premises; such as in the forests, mountains, and riverside are prohibited.
