REVEALED: How Abu Jinapor Issued Mining License To NPP’s Kate Gyamfua

News has emerged that the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor actually began issuing mining licenses as soon as he assumed office despite his public utterances to the contrary.

MyNewsGh has reported that despite the Minister’s antics in public which portrays him as fighting galamsey seriously, he was actually doling out mining licenses without the proper due dilligence.

According to MyNewsGh, their investigations reveal that despite the fact that NPP National Women Organizer, Kate Gyamfua had received a mining licence for her concessions, her company was actually working outside the legal boundaries.

Apparently, this was in the full knowledge of officials and yet they did nothing about it.

The reports also indicate that Madam Gyamfua’s mining licence was renewed in the middle of March 2021, at a time when Mr. Jinapor claimed to have placed a moratorium on new license, renewal and mining in forest reserves and around water bodies.
