Report: NPP To Trigger Adwoa Safo’s Sacking From Parliament Over Unexplained Absence?

The position of the honorable MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo has come under threat by her own Party, this portal has learned.

According to information available to this portal, the majority caucus intends to report their colleague to the Privileges committee of parliament for absenting herself from the house for 15 working days without any excuse.

This comes after all attempts to get the Dome Kwabenya legislator to return to her position in the house has proved futile.

The infamous absence of the lawmaker has also adversely affected the majority’s chance of passing the e-levy, which government says will help to boost government finances.

Some NPP MPs have attributed the majority’s failure to pass the e-levy to their colleague, including MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong who has children with the lawmaker.

Mr. Agyapong, last week, described his ex-lover as an over-pampered child after rumors emerged that the Dome Kwabenya MP is holding her party to ransom.

According to Parliamentary rules, a lawmaker who absents him/herself from the house for 15 working days without notice is liable for referral to the privileges committee.
